I failed in the last round of shiritori (before the new order was posted), but
jojibear wanted to see what I had in mind anyway, so here. >.> Written in the same vein as this fic, so prepare tissues (????).

Character/pairing: Miyata Toshiya, Yokoo Wataru, Fujigaya Taisuke
Word count: ~300
Rating: PG-13, warning for mentions of violence
Beta: none
The chain rattles as Miyata struggles feebly in his binds. The small movement makes his sides hurt, broken ribs rubbing against each other and over already-bruised muscles. He hisses and takes in sharp, shallow breaths, but even that causes pain to flare up and worsen. The very thought of his special person keeps Miyata grounded, focused, but his body's losing the fight to stay alive; the damage from an eternity's worth of beatings finally taking its toll on him. Time seems to stretch on to forever in his prison cell, deprived of light (save for the lone incandescent bulb swinging overhead) and isolated from other captives, when it's only been days since he was captured. His eyes squeezes shut at the pain, but he forces them open again, fighting against the darkness slowly creeping in and beginning to taking him under.
The stench of stale bodily fluids assaults his sense of smell, overpowering the metallic tang of his own blood running in rivulets down his temple. There's little comfort in the way the smell dissipates a bit as the door opens, having learned that when it does, he's about to be dealt with more pain. He braces himself and prepares for the the worst as fluorescent light from outside floods the room.
The door reveals familiar figures, and Miyata greets Nikaido with a serene smile as Fujigaya and Yokoo make short work of disarming the guards. Their eyes meet for only just a second and then Nikaido's gone; Yokoo rushes in, checking the extent of Miyata's injuries as he removes the binds. Fujigaya follows shortly after, cradling Miyata's head in his lap, and Miyata allows his eyes to flutter shut. His breathing's slowing now, and he's already numb and cold. He vaguely hears Fujigaya screaming in his ear, "Don't you dare, Miyata," before sweet oblivion takes him.
